Several locations at Bakersfield College were used in the filming of a series of McDonald's commercials which debuted in the 2008 Beijing Olympic games. Clearly visible is Memorial Stadium, and for those with more first-hand knowledge of sports facilities, the gymnasium is the setting for the gymnast on the balance beam. Other versions of the commercial use the pool, the weight room and the baseball/softball diamonds.
